Renew Newcastle turns 5 years old this month and to celebrate NANA has curated a group exhibition showcasing the work of past and present participating artists. Renew is famous for enlivening the creative heart of Newcastle by supporting artists and facilitating their creative projects in otherwise disused commercial spaces. Out of the Woodwork takes it's name from the emergence of these artists from their galleries, shops and studios so as to share their work with community. In this exhibition you will learn about all manner of creative practices that have been prospering within the woodwork, from clay sculpture and painting to wood carving and plant growing. You will also learn about some of the businesses and creative projects that have evolved from these practises. Best of all you will have the opportunity to take a little piece of magic home with you as all artworks are for sale. So come on down to NANA tonight from 6 - 9pm and be part of the growing creative history in the city of Newcastle.
